MUM'S BIRTHDAY
It was Mum's Birthday on the 25th August. I got her a Russian doll patterned pencil case, a £5 Peacocks* Voucher and a card that says on the front...
Happy Birthday Mum! Now, I know how every year you say something like, "Oh, I don't want anything for my Birthday," or "Don't go spending any money on me." Well, Mum, I just have one thing to say...
And then inside it says:
...No problem. (By the way, could you pay me back for this card? Thanks.)
LOL! This card is SO true. Mum does say that stuff every year and I am the kinda person who would ask for the money back LOL (Obviously I don't.) :D
On the morning of her Birthday I got up at 05:50am to start baking her secret birthday cake. She didn't know she was having one, we hadn't mentioned it. It took until about 8am, and it was a disaster! I don't think I mixed it properly, and it burnt a little bit...so I put Maltesers** on top to try and hide the taste... :P Ummm it still tasted gross. None of us really liked it. Soooo that was a waste :/ Oh well! The rest of Mum's Birthday was fun.
We ended up going to Ely to buy some stuff for school. Only 10 days to go!! Eeek!! Anyway. That leads us to the next section of this post...
SCHOOL
On Mum's Birthday, in Ely, I got a school coat, some metallic markers, some fine-liner pens, two school skirts, some trainers for PE*** and....we're still looking for school shoes. I've seen loads that I like but Mum won't buy them because they have thin soles so they'd wear out really quickly. :o( It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the High School. We're going shoe shopping again today to see if we can find some. I really want some black school flats but Mum keeps picking ones with straps and I don't really like them :P I want ones like this...
We've lived in this apartment for just over 2 years now and we haven't had enough money to buy carpets. Anyway, when Mum got married, instead of something to unwrap, people gave Mum and Jason money as a wedding present. Which means we now have enough money for carpets! (Yay!) So far we've carpeted the living room and hallway. The place looks much better now :) I'm hoping to get a wooden floor for my room - I've never been too keen on having a carpet LOL. Umm anyway, the above topic of 'Carpet' was a bit random LOL.
This week I've had two of my BFFs round to my house. Olivia and Teyleah :-) We played photo shoots LOL...
